first of, with regards to ut2003-demo, you guys removed the ebuild for -r1 when you updated to -r2. this causes emerge -u ut2003-demo to have an error near the end. to the issue: I use an ATI Radeon 64 meg ddr, agp video card, and use mesa, and mesa-glu. on game startup: Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0". i do not know what this is but im guessing its the root of my problem. so i enter a game and the textures scrambled about, all over the screen moving around.. its really messed up here's a screenshot: http://www.lucidpc.com/~dragnet/Shot00001.png isn't it wonderfull? i thought you guys might be able to do something about this, seeing as you gentoogames.com exists now. now, i realize the ATI users got neglected by the developers of this game but when i merged it it said it works somewhat with ATI cards... and maybe with the Xi drivers.. by the looks of it i am REQUIREd to use these Xi drivers, which i might add are not free domain. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
so normally you are utilizing the X opengl drivers ? have you tried the ati-drivers ?
actually if you're using XFree-4.3.0 then try using xfree-drm instead of ati-drivers ... just `emerge xfree-drm`
well re-open when you have more info
found the answer ...
this was related to a security fix that was added ... the fix ended up not working so well so we removed it ... however epic hasnt really fixed the security issue upstream ;) so try the latest ut2003-demo and it should work fine
