2.4.21rc2aa1 has been out for a while now 
 
$ cp /usr/portage/sys-kernel/aa-sources/aa-sources-2.4.21_pre5-r2.ebuild 
/usr/portage/sys-kernel/aa-sources/aa-sources-2.4.21_rc2-r1.ebuild 
 
$ ebuild /usr/portage/sys-kernel/aa-sources/aa-sources-2.4.21_rc2-r1.ebuild digest 
 
and it works, running it right now on my home server
