Maybe other mirrors as well, but rsync8.us is missing /profiles/releases in the gentoo-portage rsync module.
rsync8.us - 150.135.81.231 - FIXED rsync3.be - 193.190.198.20 (not in bugzilla, need to email ftpmaster@belnet.be) rsync4.de - 85.25.128.62 rsync4.ro - 86.55.8.30 rsync7.us - 128.10.252.13
Admins, please check and make sure that profiles/releases is present in your mirrors.
(In reply to comment #1) > rsync7.us - 128.10.252.13 Pulled from rsync.us.gentoo.org rotation pending fix. Please let us know when this is resolved so we can add you back again; the rsync7.us.gentoo.org A record still exists and points at your IP in the meantime though!
astinus/fox2mike: please pull the rest of these

rsync3.be - 193.190.198.20 (not in bugzilla, need to email ftpmaster@belnet.be) rsync7.us - 128.10.252.13 Are the one remaining, rsync3 doesn't work anyway, and rsync7.us is out of the rotation
I removed rsync3.be, Bug #214928 for more info.
I just experienced this problem today when syncing with 128.10.252.13 (rsync7.us). Upon forcing a second sync with another server, it fixed the problem. Why is this problem "reappearing"? It seems that it was already fixed on that server. There may be another bug or problem hiding here somewhere.
