Hi, Could we please keyword sci-libs/amd on your arches. It is needed for the sparse matrix support of the upcoming octave-3.0.0. Thanks, Markus
Keyworded on alpha.

Hi Raúl, Sorry about this and I am pretty sure this test is broken (the same happens on x86 by the way). @bicatali: Do you happen to know anything about this test? I seem to remember that we had broken test for amd in the past. best, Markus
It looks like the test simply consists of a straight diff against a sample output. Unfortunately, since the test reports the size of int in bytes and the sample output was (apparently) generated on a 64bit machine they are bound to fail on any 32bit arch (they pass just fine on my opteron box). That said, I think you can safely ignore this error and keyword the package. We'll contact upstream to get this test fixed and make it portable across arches. Best, Markus
~sparc done, closing
~hppa too.
Created attachment 149749 [details] Build log for HPPA Seems to be rather problematic: ** Test amd_l_demo FAILED. Diff: 9c9 < size of AMD integer: 4 --- > size of AMD integer: 8 126c126 < memory used, in bytes: 1516 --- > memory used, in bytes: 3032 ---------- All other tests pass.
Hi Jeroen, Thanks for the note and I am pretty sure that the test itself is broken (see comment #4) since it diffs against output generated on a 64bit machine where ints differ in size. It'll hence break on any 32bit install (such as my x86 box). Best, Markus
Marked ~hppa. And closing.
