Description M. Edward Borasky 2008-04-02 05:59:21 UTC
I installed the 2008.0_beta1 and selected *everything* in the package selection screen. The final configuration dialog is rather garbled, so I don't know if I did it right. The system booted up into GDM, and I was able to log in, but instead of getting an XFCE session, I got "twm". I looked at "/etc/rc.conf" and it had XSession set to "xfce" (all lower case). It looks like the correct value should be "XFce4".

I haven't had a chance to test out anything else, but I'm planning to fix XFCE up and continue testing it. By the way, it took a *long* time to do the install -- is it compiling from source?

Hi,

I'm not a dev, but the beta1 shouldn't be relevant anymore since 2008 is out. Can this bug get closed?

The installer is deprecated.
