Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2008-04-01 19:01:05 UTC
At least with A4 paper, firefox default margins are too small and are not properly printed, this margins need to be larger.

These defaults could be much better (I use them succesfully on seamonkey and firefox and opensuse also uses them):
pref("print.print_edge_top", 14); // 1/100 of an inch
pref("print.print_edge_left", 16); // 1/100 of an inch
pref("print.print_edge_right", 16); // 1/100 of an inch
pref("print.print_edge_bottom", 14); // 1/100 of an inch

Thanks a lot

Reproducible: Always

Well, this request should probably better go directly upstream...

I already reported it months ago but mozilla is sometimes really slow for fixing this kind of issues and this is a problem for me since years

Thanks a lot

Upstream has closed bug resolved as you have not posted any info in a good long while.

What is your current status with this?

Pacho I am closing, if you get somewhere with upstream feel free to reopen. We are only taking patches which upstream will land sooner or later.

I understand your position of not including many downstream changes but:
1. This is still broken.
2. Upstream is awfully unresponsive (upstream bug was opened at 2002!)

Even me no longer using Firefox for months (I am now a happy chromium user), I know a lot of people would probably want to see this solved, at least, downstream since upstream simply ignores the problem. But I won't reopen this, you are free to make the decision you prefer.
