Description Johan Ymerson 2008-04-01 05:44:38 UTC
I tried to upgrade to sci-electronics/kicad-20080320.918 from 20070115 but emerge fails.

I have the following wxGTK versions installed:
x11-libs/wxGTK-2.6.4.0-r3
x11-libs/wxGTK-2.8.7.1-r1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" emerge kicad

Actual Results:

Comment 3 Plyatov Igor 2008-04-02 16:43:05 UTC
Please, issue the command:
  "eselect wxwidgets list"

It will say to you something like that:
"Available wxWidgets profiles:
  [1]   gtk2-unicode-release-2.8 *"

Then issue:
"eselect wxwidgets set gtk2-unicode-release-2.8"

I think, you can successfully build KiCad after that.
Comment 4 Ryan Hill (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-03 00:16:21 UTC
the eselect module settings shouldn't affect portage builds at all. if it does then something's wrong. everything looks okay in the ebuild and it builds here no matter what profile is selected. can you attach /var/tmp/portage/sci-electronics/kicad-20080320.918/work/kicad_build/CMakeCache.txt

it should look something like:
//Path to a program.
wxWidgets_CONFIG_EXECUTABLE:FILEPATH=/usr/bin/wx-config

//Use debug build?
wxWidgets_USE_DEBUG:BOOL=ON

//Link libraries statically?
wxWidgets_USE_STATIC:BOOL=OFF

//Use unicode build?
wxWidgets_USE_UNICODE:BOOL=ON

//Use universal build?
wxWidgets_USE_UNIVERSAL:BOOL=OFF
Comment 5 Denis Dupeyron (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-04-18 18:36:50 UTC
This ebuild was removed as part of massive cleanup. Please try the latest one where this should be fixed.

Denis.
