Some images are shown as black rectangles (once in a while the image is garbled e.g. I can see the bottom part of the image at the top of the bounding box and the top part is not shown). It happens rarely, probably only with images that had to be scaled down before rendering. Some sited are more affected than others. I experienced this problem in Firefox 3.0 beta 3 as well. Firefox 2.x works fine. The problem is similar to what some Ubuntu users are experiencing, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/182038. I read it could be linked to the open-source nVidia driver but I'm using and ATI card right now with the "ati" driver. Please feel free to ask for more info. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
