Description 2010dli 2008-03-31 05:29:04 UTC
Spellcheck in OpenOffice Writer doesn't work with app-text/hunspell-1.2.2_beta. Autospellcheck doesn't highlight any words with red, and the spellcheck tool doesn't flag any words, even those which are clearly misspelled. Also, Hunspell doesn't appear as a language module under Tools->Options->Language Settings->Writing Aids.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install app-office/openoffice-2.3.1-r1 and app-text/hunspell-1.2.2_beta
2. Open a blank document in OpenOffice Writer
3. Type misspelled words.
4. Run spellcheck.
Actual Results:
No misspelled words are found.

Expected Results:
The misspelled words are flagged as being incorrect.

The previous version of Hunspell, 1.1.9, works fine with OpenOffice and shows the desired behavior.

Can't reproduce, all the quoted things work perfectly fine here with hunspell-1.2.2_beta and openoffice-2.4.0. Did you try to run revdep-rebuild or to re-emerge openoffice?

Works here, no feedback, closing
