Teraterm entry of /etc/termcap and /usr/share/terminfo/t/teraterm should have as/smacs (alternative charset start) and ae/rmacs (alternative charset end) capabilities, because teraterm is able to display alternative characters. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: TERM=teraterm mutt Actual Results: Arrow signs (->, +-> and so on) are broken. Expected Results: Arrow signs are shown correctly.
termcap is dead and wont be seeing updates Thomas: proposed change OK with you ?

just noticed this - I haven't run Tera Term for a while, but when I did make the teraterm entry, had validated line-drawing. I don't see the version of Tera Term mentioned - but have seen some comments about a newer version (will make a to-do item to check this).
The recent version is here: http://sourceforge.jp/projects/ttssh2/files/ Please check it.
It's in ncurses 5.7 - 20081012 + add teraterm4.59 terminfo entry, use that as primary teraterm entry, > original to teraterm2.3 -TD
thanks for the heads up
