ppc stable
Comment 2 Thomas Anderson (tanderson) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-05 17:34:53 UTC
This package is missing a dependency on dev-python/pycairo. Without pycairo installed, one gets:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/gnome-blog-poster", line 5, in ?
    import gtk
  File "/usr/lib64/python2.4/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py", line 48, in ?
    from gtk import _gtk
ImportError: No module named cairo

After installing pycairo, the application starts up

pycairo is a dep of pygtk which is a dep of gnome-blog (all of this unconditional). How did you get around not installing pycairo ???
Comment 4 Thomas Anderson (tanderson) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-06 14:03:15 UTC
Woops, sorry about that. Something weird happened and pycairo got uninstalled... :(
Comment 5 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-12 13:47:06 UTC
