Don't accept this yet.  I need to replace the elc_160.tar.bz2 file as there were some more updates.

Ok, in cvs now. 

This is now a cvs-based ebuild, based in large part upon the live-cvs build submitted by Jetchko Jekov (thanks!).  I've been slowly cleaning it up over time as well, though there is certainly room for improvement.

If anybody runs into issues with the cvs-based download I can roll one that just uses a mirrored source tarball as before.

Also - for those who want something more cutting-edge, you can just delete ECVS_BRANCH out of this ebuild and download the head.  I'd rather not have ordinary users just using the latest build of EL for quality reasons, but I'm open to bumping this to point to specific revisions if needed for future bugfixes/etc...
