The version of xkeycaps available on Gentoo Overlay is 2.46 and the one available on other distros like Debian and Ubuntu is 2.47. Debian uses the 2.47-3 version.

The 2.46 version is from 1999, and this is problematic due to not being adapted to latest X versions.

The files are exclusively on the Debian repository, available on any of their mirrors.
