grandr is now up to version 0.4.1, whilst the tree only contains 0.1.  Is it possible to get the new version in?

I don't think that this grandr applet is the same as that grandr (reference gtk randr util)

OK then, is it possible to get _this_ grandr into the tree, or else one of these other xrandr guis:

urandr looks nice to me. But I do not really manage to write an propper ebuild for it, I hope someone else does.

You should probably try to get those utilities included in Sunrise instead. In any case, the X11 team is not really interested and the major DEs (gnome, kde and xfce) are already working on such utilities.
