Comment 1 solar (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-25 22:26:47 UTC
I can't reproduce this with any version of lshw that I have tryed
Comment 2 Richard Scott 2008-03-26 10:18:05 UTC
I've been having a look in my emerge.log and I don't think that its a problem directly with lshw as i've not upgraded that ever! I've always and only ever had sys-apps/lshw-02.11.01b installed.

I've upgraded everything else tho.... could it be something to do with the USB tools or USB libs that it links to as I've re-installed lshw and it still does this.
Comment 3 Richard Scott 2008-03-26 10:21:28 UTC
also, all PAX and GRSecurity options in the kernel are currently off.
Comment 4 Richard Scott 2008-03-28 14:33:47 UTC
Yay!, the masked 02.12.01b version of lshw works just fine!
Comment 5 kfm 2008-04-15 11:38:22 UTC
I've been able to reproduce the problem and can confirm that lshw-02.12.01b is unaffected. I've opened a separate bug requesting stabilisation that blocks this bug.
