On my system growisofs fails to write a pre-mastered ISO image with the following error message:

# /usr/bin/growisofs -dvd-compat -overburn -Z /dev/dvd=dvd-1.iso
Executing 'builtin_dd if=dvd-1.iso of=/dev/dvd obs=32k seek=0'
:-( failed to create thread: Input/output error

There's propably a patch (haven't tried it yet, going to bed now):

Bug 197670 has different error messages when invoked as normal user vs as root.

This bug on the other hand has an I/O error, regardless who's running growisofs.

So is it really a dublicate?

Fixed with app-cdr/dvd+rw-tools-7.0-r1 (dvd+rw-tools-7.0-thread-stack-size.patch), which is at this time ~ppc.
