Description Stuart Bouyer 2003-05-21 11:11:41 UTC
The America's Army game cd is missing alsa sound support. Therefore I get no
sound when using the cd.

My sound card is correctly found by the autoconfig script in /etc/init.d, but no
modules are present for alsa drivers.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot from aa-20030513.iso livecd
2. Soundcard detected
3. Unable to load alsa driver via82xx - cause it ain't on the cd

Actual Results:
No sound - so I can't enjoy this supposedly fine game.

Expected Results:
... put a CD in their computer, turn it on, and have the GameCD boot directly
into the game. The game runs from the GameCD, and the GameCD handles the
auto-detection and configuration of all hardware.

I would assume that this means sound too

Also there is no md5sum visible on the website, so I don't know if I'm missing
part of the iso, but I've downloaded it three times with the same results.

This bug has been inactive for a year or more and is arguably no longer relevant. It is marked as a major bug, that will definitely be fixed in the next release.

Can it be closed now?
