The ebuilds do not have a use flag to enable aac audio in the internal player ( i.e. configure --enable-libfaad). Could we add the use flag to the ebuild? I did a quick test and manually compiled myth with --enable-libfaad (and of course emerge faad2) and it works without issue (at least for me).

fixed in 0.21 and 0.22, though the option will go away in 0.22 soon

Doug, is that because support is being added in the mythtv libs (ffmpeg)?
