Here is an ebuild for the Temperature.app dockapp.  Rather than displaying
outside conditions, etc, this just displays the latest reported temperature. 
MUCH easier to read.

I made some small changes to the ebuild, take a look once it reaches the portage mirrors. I also marked it unsable on x86 and removed sparc from KEYWORDS untill it is reported to work - Does it for you?
