nxtvepg merges successfully but forgets to install binaries, allthough
installatino seems to be OK, there's no executable 'nxtvepg'

Comment 2 Björn Runden Bonn/Germany 2003-05-19 15:26:52 UTC

Could you please tell me the output of "epm -ql nxtvepg" (maybe you have to emerge epm before) and the file generated by

emerge nxtvepg 2>&1 | tee filename

- perhaps there's an error message somewhere which does not lead to aborting the emerge.

Output of epm -ql nxtvepg

As you can see, the binary is installed to /var/tmp/portage... and this is
released after emerge finishing, i guess

Still waiting for the

emerge nxtvepg

output.

I think I found that sucker... just wondering why I got a working binary in the right place at all. It could not have worked, but obviously somehow it did since I use it at home.

See -r1 on your favourite portage sync soon :-)

Thanks for the hint.
