Description Randy Kahle 2003-05-19 13:22:34 UTC
I am using an AOpen AX5TC MB with a 233MMX CPU.
When I try to install and do the partioning, fdisk will not work with more than 2Gig of the
HD.
If I boot with Tom's boot disk, I can use that fdisk and do the partioning, then go back to
the Gentoo installation CD.

I

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do normal RC4 installation step.
2. Use fdisk on /dev/hda
3. Cannot see more than 2Gig

Expected Results:
I expect fdisk to see the whole 6 Gig Fujitsu drive

I know this is old hardware, but it should handle this older setup.

Could you try a newer LiveCD and reopen this bug if the problem still exists?
Comment 2 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-25 11:25:00 UTC
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
