Description Ivan A. Sorokin 2008-03-05 06:16:56 UTC
gentoo cant kill processes after ivtv support turn on in 2.6.23-r9 if any processe like kdetv or kopete try to read video stream, it's stop respond. And "kill -9" is not working.
In procedure of halt from console in kde it looks like stop after step HAL-stop. and end of halting.

there is last stable kernel 2.6.24.3 at www.kernel.org, but this kernel unavailable in portage.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Include ivtv support in kernel 2.6.23.9
2. try to choose devices in kopete
3. cant kill process.
or
2. start kdetv.
3. cant kill process.

Please test with the latest gentoo-sources kernel, which right now is 2.6.24-r3.
