attached is the ebuild for crip-3.4, which builds on x86 crip is a terminal-based ripper/encoder/tagger tool for creating Ogg Vorbis/FLAC/MP3 files under UNIX/Linux. It is well-suited for anyone (especially the perfectionist) who seeks to make a lot of files from CDs and have them all properly labeled and professional-quality with a minimum of hassle and yet still have flexibility and full control over everything. Current versions of crip only support Ogg Vorbis and FLAC. crip is avaliable at http://bach.dynet.com/crip/index.html i suggest media-sound/crip this ebuild depends upon the following: dev-lang/perl (tested 5.8.0) media-sound/vorbis-tools (tested 1.0) media-sound/cdparanoia (tested 3.9.8) media-sound/sox (tested 12.17.3) dev-perl/CDDB_get (tested 2.10) optionally support for flac: media-libs/flac (tested 1.1.0)

Thanks for submitting this. It needs some work before it can be committed though. Your IUSE line lists oggvorbis but doesn't change dependancies or the way the packages is built when USE=oggvorbis is set (or not). It also implies a flac USE flag in DEPEND but doesn't list flac in IUSE. If you'd like to try and fix it, please do so. Otherwise I'll come back to this and fix it up in a few days. Thanks again for submitting it :)
No time for gentoo dev stuff right now :(
Hey louis, are you still looking to get this into portage? I realize it's almost 9 months later... If so, _please_ post a comment on this bug and I'll look into it further, otherwise I'll be closing it in the near future.
no response from bug submitter... development upstream seems dead... closing unless someone else wants it...
