After first getting this problem, I waited 90mins and re-ran 'emerge --sync', but the problem remains.

Thanks for reporting and apologies for the inconvenience.
It's fixed in CVS.

Comment 4 Lourdes Jones 2008-03-04 00:04:17 UTC
While the expected checksum for digest verification has changed from earlier it still does not match what the downloaded file produces.

!!! Digest verification failed:
!!! /usr/portage/distfiles/vim-patches-7.1.266.tar.gz
!!! Reason: Failed on RMD160 verification
!!! Got: 27d9624ed08a223995b5f93382e5286cc41e146d
!!! Expected: 5bc9aaa1d0e506afb5b5246e38290cdef293a5b9

The downloaded file is complete and produces no error for me. Checksum matches what Graham Murray reported earlier.

However, if I attempted to use the download leftover from a previous attempt the downloaded file was renamed and a zero length file left in it's place which would produce the error message reported by Jakub Moc.
Comment 5 Lourdes Jones 2008-03-04 00:10:40 UTC
While I'm sure this is obvious to the maintainer: app-editors/vim app-editors/gvim also use this patchset and also need to be updated.

Now we have broken Manifest yet again...

And i am getting it here too :(

Comment 8 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2008-03-04 13:55:12 UTC
Hm, the distfile on woodpecker has SHA1 sum a60a93c41f47fd38f056efd4e98cba99932599d2 which agrees with revision 1.416 of the Manifest (last version committed by hawking). However, the current Manifest revision 1.417 contains a different checksum.
Comment 9 Ali Polatel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-04 18:18:53 UTC
fixed it, should be done now. Sorry again...
Comment 10 Chris Smith 2008-03-04 20:00:48 UTC
I find it odd that Manifest files don't have a header which shows their revision. Is there some good reason for that?
