The only apparent solution to this problem, is to emerge the presently MASKED gst-plugins-good-0.10.17. I have just done this, and have successfully emerged this package.
It's caused by automagic dep on libcheck when FEATURES="test" is turned on and off. Changing to FEATURES="test" and emerging gstreamer provides this header again.. (for a quick workaround)

How can you claim this is solved, if the solution isn't immediately available in portage? If this were really solved, you wouldn't be posting links to sites other than Gentoo. I really don't care what someone else has done outside of Gentoo. What matters to me, is that when I run emerge, the requested package compiles and installs without error. That doesn't include me having to download additional software (patches) not included in the package. No, this will be fixed, when the installation completes without any errors whatsoever, using emerge alone. Thank you very much! Shingoshi

Switching to 0.10.7 is not the solution, because its not marked stable in Portage and of course: "What matters to me, is that when I run emerge, the requested package compiles and installs without error." - But, what you are doing is using ACCEPT_KEYWORD-stuff. note: i didn't mark the bug solved here. whatever, in 0.10.7 the bug is gone, referring to the changelog http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/releases/gst-plugins-good/0.10.7.html.
I actually meant to write an apology for that comment. I get a bit testy, after I've sitting in front of my computer for hours at end, trying to accomplish what no one in their right mind should even think of. So when I encounter problems, I tend to get snappish. Be assured, I will apologize now. Maybe if I allowed myself to get more sleep, I wouldn't take stuff like this out on others.
