Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2008-02-29 22:25:04 UTC
celestia.desktop file has the following category:
Categories=Science;Astronomy;GTK

This causes celestia menu entry be shown in Others menu when it should be shown in Education

It should be:
Categories=Education;Science;Astronomy;GTK

This was already fixed in 1.4.2, but seems that updated patch for 1.5.0 doesn't use proper Category

Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Hi Pacho,

Thanks for reporting. All sci-* ebuilds where we use the make_desktop_entry from the eutils eclass do not set Education in the Categories field, so I chose to follow the same rule.

I am not sure what to do actually. XFCE uses the secondary category Science and the desktop entry appears properly in Science and KDE too. Doesn't Gnome do this?

Basically to keep consistency we should check all sci-* ebuilds and the eutils eclass to consistently set either Education or Science in the desktop entry.

But this is also a bug:

Gnome doesn't have Science menu category, also in:
http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html

"Science" is not a main category

Thanks :-)

Education fixed as the main category in cvs. Thanks.
