The FTP distfiles mirror with the URL

  ftp://ftp.mneisen.org/gentoo

is discontinued, effective 10-MAR-2008. The reason: Most (>98%) users here use HTTP, the additional effort for maintaining, securing, and monitoring the FTP service does not seem to be worth it.

The HTTP mirror

  http://gentoo.mneisen.org/

is *NOT* effected and will continue to serve ISO images, distfiles, and portage snapshots.
