Bug 211441 – media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc2_p25993 doesn't disable DPMS when playing videos

After upgrading to mplayer-1.0_rc2_p25993 I found out it doesn't disable DPMS when playing videos. 10 minutes after starting to play a video, if the user doesn't interact with the computer, the screen goes black. You can still hear the sound. This didn't happen in the version I was previously using (I don't remember which one it was), but I remember an older version had the same/a similar problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. mplayer film.avi
2. 
3.

Actual Results:  
After 10 min: screen goes black with the movie still playing

Expected Results:  
Film should play without DPMS kicking in.

So try w/ -r1 and USE=xscreensaver; if you still dislike it then you'd be better off complaining upstream.
