Description Stefan Hoelldampf 2008-02-22 11:43:03 UTC
Subject says it all. It works without any problems on amd64-linux.
Comment 1 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-31 12:30:24 UTC
May I ask why this is assigned to alt ? You are asking for amd64-linux which is the regular portage tree right ? If you did this in ignorance, please don't do that again and let the bug assigned to bug-wranglers that will properly triage it.
Comment 2 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2008-03-31 12:32:54 UTC
@eva:
the regular portage tree is "amd64".
The bug is assigned to the Prefix Support project, hence the request for "amd64-linux". This is not what you think, it's like Gentoo on top of Fedora, SuSE, Debian, Gentoo, etc.

 * ERROR: app-office/dia-0.96.1 failed:
 * this code is not 64bit clean

triggered most probably by the following type pun:
* chronoline_event.c:231: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break
 strict-aliasing rules

alrighty, thanks for clarification, I thought it was a mis-assignation.
Comment 5 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2008-05-16 20:32:29 UTC
@stefan, did you get this actually compiled? Do you use an "older" gcc maybe (I think I use 4.3.0)
Comment 6 Stefan Hoelldampf 2008-05-16 21:28:17 UTC
I have just emerged dia-0.96.1-r1 on amd64-linux using gcc-4.2.3 again, that's the latest gcc not being masked.
Comment 7 Jeremy Olexa (darkside) (RETIRED) archtester gentoo-dev Security 2008-05-16 22:08:29 UTC
I was actually in the process of installing dia (and about 40 deps) when grobian made his last comment. Works for me, thanks for reporting!
