This tracker is going to list all the bugs that need to be fixed for the new pambase package to be considered completed and good for production. All the bugs linked to this trackers has to be marked resolved before even trying to ask pambase to go stable.
Could you please make this bug refer to some of the documentation that might detail what changes sys-auth/pambase is going to bring?

Well, the rev bump from 20080301 to 20080305 requires a name change to the distfile for anything to happen here.
