Hi, While researching the solution for a bug in Gajim (#203061), I found out that this bug is caused not by Gajim itself but by gnome-python-extras and therefore accurring in all PyGTK programs which use ``egg.trayicon``. The portage tree currently holds 2.14.2, but as the changelog (see URL) points out, the bug has been fixed in 2.14.3 already. So I request replacing 2.14.2-r1 by 2.14.3 in the tree - it is a bugfix release, so breakage is probably not to be expected. gnome-python-extras 2.19.x works as well, but 2.19.x sounds like a development version. To keep problems at a minimum, it would be enough to have gnome-python-extras at 2.14.3 in the portage tree.
we won't add 2.14.3 because 2.19 is stable on most arches already. @x86, hi, please stabilize gnome-python-extras 2.19, don't know how we missed this but it seems you're the last arch to not have it stable. TIA
Indeed, I saw that this is stable on amd64. Of course the problem is gone now. Just forgot to close it.
x86 stable, closing
