Hotkeys does not seem to support sun keyboards, and if that's the case it's probably not all that useful on sparc?

No, I have learned learn that hotkeys does work on sparc with a normal USB keyboard (so says gustavoz). I'm just not set up to test it, and we are looking for someone who is. I might be able to liberate such a keyboard for testing, but haven't been able to yet.
