net-wireless/iwl3945-ucode-2.14.1.5 as firmware and kernel 2.6.24 (tuxonice-sources) works with no error msg in the logs and gives the two interfaces as expected. connection to accesspoint works fine with wpa_supplicant, iwconfig reports 54mbit/s connection-rate. but as soon as i do some transfer, e. g. ftp-login the rate on the client side drops to maybe 28mbps and when i do filetransfer it goes down to 11 or even 5.5 mbps. i don't have such problems with the ipw3945-driver but with iwlwifi. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install tuxonice-2.6.24 and portage-version of iwl3945-ucode 2.connect to ap via wpa_supplicant 3.do some networkactivity Actual Results: iwconfig says the wlan0-interface is connected with 11 or even only 5.5 mbps and connection is slow. Expected Results: rate should stay at 54mbps also when using the interface, this is the behaviour i have with ipw3945-dirver
There's obviously absolutely zero we could fix with binary blog firmware.
