Description Wolfgang Thiess 2003-05-15 01:59:30 UTC
I booted from gentoo-grp-athlon-1.4_rc2
then installed from stage1-x86-1.4_rc4
I followed the Gentoo Linux 1.4_rc4 Installation Instructions

I've done this end of April (many files in /bin, ... are dated 28.04.2003 [dmy])
BTW: some are still 09.04.2003 - doesn't bootstrap build everything?

After this installation, manpages for sed were missing.

I re-emerged sed ([ebuild R ] sys-apps/sed-4.0.7) and the manpages are there.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:

bootstrap only builds your toolchain (gcc, glibc, binutils, gettext, etc). As for the manpage, try the new 2004.0 stages, they are most likely there.
Comment 2 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-25 11:24:54 UTC
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
