I booted from gentoo-grp-athlon-1.4_rc2 then installed from stage1-x86-1.4_rc4 I followed the Gentoo Linux 1.4_rc4 Installation Instructions I've done this end of April (many files in /bin, ... are dated 28.04.2003 [dmy]) BTW: some are still 09.04.2003 - doesn't bootstrap build everything? After this installation, manpages for sed were missing. I re-emerged sed ([ebuild R ] sys-apps/sed-4.0.7) and the manpages are there. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce:
bootstrap only builds your toolchain (gcc, glibc, binutils, gettext, etc). As for the manpage, try the new 2004.0 stages, they are most likely there.
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
