It doesn't build for me. Don't know yet if it's my machines environment or something else.
Darcs 2.0 has been released. I've used the attached pre3 ebuild just removing the prerelease postfix. I had to update ghc to 6.6 for it to build (I don't know if it was solved by ghc itself or its dependencies). I also had to emerge it with USE=-doc. When emerging it with USE=doc I got the following error: src/Darcs/CommandsAux.lhs:64:34: `p' is not applied to enough type arguments Expected kind `??', but `p' has kind `* -> * -> *' In the type `p -> Bool' In the type `(Patchy p) => p -> Bool' In the type signature for `has_malicious_path': has_malicious_path :: (Patchy p) => p -> Bool make: *** [src/Darcs/CommandsAux.o] Error 1 Strangely, if I remove the "$(use_with doc docs)" argument in econf, it seems to build with the manual without problems.

darcs 2 has been added to the overlay with a bugfix for the docs. Thanks for your reports! Lets try it in the overlay for a little while, then I'll put it in portage.
Tests has worked well, committed to portage. Keyworded ~alpha, ~amd64, ~hppa, ~ppc, ~sparc, ~x86. Requested ~ia64, ~ppc64 and ~x86-fbsd.
