After updating xorg 7.2 to 7.3 in Gentoo i found this bug: If i try to load any game which using opengl engine it freeze and utilizing 100% cpu. But if run any movie before the game all works good. Or i can kill the application, when it freeze open any movie, close it and run the game again. It works too. There is no dependencies from video driver. Using ati and radeon driver give the same result. OS: Gentoo Linux 2007.0 xorg 7.3 video: Radeon 9500 Pro Steps for reproduce this bug below: Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log output, and also video drivers versions you tried.

Now OpenGL works in open source driver (i run tuxracer for testing). But i running X with Option "Composite" "Disable" and Option "RENDER" "Disable". At the first time this options is absent. You'd be better off taking this to ATI/AMD, I guess...
