As longs as hardened installs with 2.4 kernels are supported (or have I missed something?) dropping of keywords for sys-fs/devfsd (Bug #204709) is not an option, through dependencies these systems try to pull in udev as a replacement for the dropped devfsd which is of course useless for a system running a 2.4 kernel...
