Description Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-05 19:25:52 UTC
OK, guys. Once again, hal is holding up a release build because someone has gone and made hal fail on an unconfigured kernel.

I'm attaching a patch to fix this problem.

Please include this patch immediately. It causes no ill effects for users and fixes this issue for the release. (Marking as blocker since it affects the release moving forward...)

Thanks,

hal.patch

This patch makes the hal ebuild actually complete without a configured kernel sources.

By the way, if there's no objections, I can go ahead and commit this and make sure to put it on all the versions in the tree.

OK, I modified the patch a little, so it's more concise and slightly cleaner. I've tested it on hal-0.5.9.1-r3 and hal-0.5.10, so I think that we're good to go on this. There have been no complaints, so I'm going to go ahead and commit this to the tree, so we'll have it for the release.
