Description Jerry McBride 2008-02-04 15:10:07 UTC
Using kd-3.5.8, gnump3d current version and audacious 1.4.6 with dbus enabled. Clicking on a link while in gnump3d, audacious will sometimes blink in and then back out in rapid succession. Then clicking on another link, audacious pops up but is stone dead. Cpu usage climbs to 99 to 100 percent and things drag like hell...

Kplayer and xmms-1.2.11 perform flawlessly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open firefox, loginto gnump3d
2.click on link... audacious blinks i and out
3.click on link again and it pops up and is stop dead, unkillable.

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
Should be playing music

I have to complain just a tad bit here. Ever since removing xmms from portage, Ive been left high and dry for a decent music player. The current xmms-1.2.11 works, it'd be nice to stop spinning wheels with audacious and get back to what worked.

Please post emerge --info output; also something like strace would help.
