Hi there,

mpd version 0.13.1 was released on 28.01.2008 introducing some bugfixes that were already in SVN trunk for some time.

Or get the SVN log with this command:
svn log -v -r6330:7177 https://svn.musicpd.org/mpd/tags/release-0.13.1

As this release fixes some rather critical bugs (exploits and ALSA dmix lockup) I advice to bump this version.

exactly, we have a trunk snapshot from 01/20/08 in the tree - is there anything important missing?

I don't think it's a good idea to give the user only the choice to update to a bleeding edge SVN snapshot.
