# Diego Pettenò <flameeyes@gentoo.org> (10 Jun 2005) # Still no way to test this, waiting ofr upstream or someone to come up # with a decent test suite. media-video/dirac Well, is this ready for normal usage? If not, it should probably be removed since it's been sitting in package.mask for 2 1/2 years.
why would it be so urgent ? (In reply to comment #0) > # Still no way to test this, waiting ofr upstream or someone to come up > # with a decent test suite. upstream is alive, I still have to find good samples or take time to properly test this. vlc 0.9 has experimental support for it. If you want to volunteer to help there, be my guest. For now -> wontfix
Urgent? o_O It's been sitting in the tree masked for 2 1/2 years, so sorry if this sounds harsh but it's become a useless bitrot and bloat in package.mask file. If you have no way to test this after this long time, it simply doesn't belong to official tree.

(In reply to comment #3) > yeah and then readd it when it'll be needed.... Not really... stuff that cannot be tested in anyway shouldn't simply be added at all.
