Hi! According to Git release notes, git-svnimport is no longer supported by git: GIT v1.5.4 Release Notes ======================== Removal ------- * "git svnimport" was removed in favor of "git svn". It is still there in the source tree (contrib/examples) but unsupported. So please update the ebuilds so they do not inform about the dependencies of this tool. BTW, 1.5.4 final release is out. BR, /Adam
I follow git's development very closely. No need for 1-day bugs, they are useless. - ferdy
(In reply to comment #1) > I follow git's development very closely. No need for 1-day bugs, they are > useless. The main purpose of this report was not to let you know that git 1.5.4 is out, but to report that git-svnimport is no longer distributed in 1.5.4 releases (as well as in release candidates). And since the release candidate 2 has been in portage since 1st January, I thought it would be nice to let you know before you commit the final 1.5.4 ebuild. Anyway, sorry for the noise if you have already known about the issue. BR, /Adam
1.5.4 should be in a mirror near you soon. (Without mentions to git-svnimport) Thanks. - ferdy
