Version .150 of tsclient is available, and has some very nice new features. a new ebuild would be much appreciated. The author's website is down, but the sources can be downloaded via http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/t/tsclient/tsclient_0.150.orig.tar.gz I was able to simply change the version number of the ebuild, and it emerged just fine, no patches or anything necessary. Reproducible: Always
I realized after submitting the bug that one of the 'new features' actually comes from a ubuntu patch. It's the local drive mapping feature. If that can be added to the patches for the gentoo version, that would be very nice. It allows you to map your local hard drive to the remote machine you are logging on to. There may be some other handy patches available as well, but that's the main one I noticed.
Got a link so I don't have to dig it up? Also, I was just adding this to my overlay, so you caught me just in time. Do you know if the Ubuntu patch has been sent upstream?
Here's the link to the changelog that lists the patches the ubuntu version is using. http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main/t/tsclient/tsclient_0.150-1/changelog The diff for all the patches is here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/tsclient/0.150-1/+files/tsclient_0.150-1.diff.gz The patch in question is called 10_remote_disk_mapping.patch
OK, I added 0.150 to the tree, which seems to work just fine for me, including the gnome panel applet.
