Sorry, I need the full buildlog, not an excerpt from it. emerge libmowgli &> libmowgli.buildlog.txt Please attach that here.
Created attachment 142256 [details] The result of emerge libmowgli &> libmowgli.buildlog.txt
I have the exact same problem. Same result, fails around lineardict.
Reproducible: Always
The issue is known and the necessary commits have been made upstream. I'm awaiting a 0.6.1 tarball.

1.6.1 is now in portage. Thank you for your bug report and sorry for the inconvenience.

Reopen for 0.6.1 stabilization.

AMD64, PPC, X86 done.
Sorry about that folks, should have tested with USE=examples. The 3 architectures affected by my stabilization yesterday are now good to go.
Created attachment 144673 [details] qlist -eo libmowgli (with USE=examples) (In reply to comment #14) > Sorry about that folks, should have tested with USE=examples. The 3 > architectures affected by my stabilization yesterday are now good to go. 1) Isn't that what arch teams are for? 2) USE=examples gives me exactly the same filelist as USE=-examples (see attachment). 3) Why are we apparently rushing to get this stable?
(In reply to comment #15) > 2) USE=examples gives me exactly the same filelist as USE=-examples (see > attachment). Actually, this is the case as well with version 0.5.0 - there the examples do get built but are never installed.
> 3) Why are we apparently rushing to get this stable? Other software depends on it, and it has been in the tree long enough. It doesn't help that people do not file bugs until the software is marked stable.
(In reply to comment #17) > > 3) Why are we apparently rushing to get this stable? > > Other software depends on it, and it has been in the tree long enough. It > doesn't help that people do not file bugs until the software is marked stable. 0.5.0 is stable and doesn't have this problem so I don't see why 0.6.* suddenly needs to go stable. I discovered the answer to 1) by scouring through the "duplicate" bugs. That still leaves 2) (reworded: why do we need USE=examples at all if it doesn't even install the examples but only builds them - which again says to me that stabilisation should probably not be rushed).
> 0.5.0 is stable and doesn't have this problem so I don't see why 0.6.* > suddenly needs to go stable. Memory leak fixes that improve the stability of applications using libmowgli (particularly newer versions of Audacious, which have started using more of the mowgli functionality). I could remove the examples USE-flag, yes. Talking to upstream to see why the install of these binaries got overlooked though.
*sigh* Stable for HPPA.
Sparc stable (but I wonder why it does not install the examples).
alpha stable, closing
