Alsa-driver 0.9.3a causes the neomagic256 to always hang at start. The alsa
web-site states that this can sometimes happen, and it hung 1-5% of startup with
previous versions. It now always hangs with 0.9.3a. The problem disappears when
the alsa-driver is downgraded to 0.9.2

the problem disappeared with 0.9.3c-r1 (only occasional hangs at boot) and has reappeared with 0.9.4 and 0.9.4-r1. As described before the alsa-driver (nm256) then always hangs at boot.

0.9.6 is going to be unmasked soon.  Could you test whether this bug is still
valid with 0.9.6?
