Description jon R-B 2008-01-28 15:13:54 UTC
Device Drivers => Virtualization

"Say Y here to get to see options for using your Linux host to run other
operating systems inside virtual machines (guests).
This option alone does not add any kernel code.

If you say N, all options in this submenu will be skipped and disabled."

When selected no submenu (I guess to select intel or AMD KVM) is created

Reproducible: Always

Do NOT use make oldconfig between kernel versions. Typing /virtual <enter> shows:

 Symbol: VIRTUALIZATION [=n]
  Prompt: Virtualization
