Upon loading of the Gentoo-Amd64-2007.0 i686 liveDVD, I let the system auto-login for user gentoo. A warning anouncing that I was logged in less than 10 sec. appears, de to some unknown gnaome error (unknown to ME that is). I'm not able to submit any logs, as I've no software to browse linux partitions with from windows, and no linux version able to write to ntfs at this time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Simply boot from the 2007.0 i686 LiveDVD 2. Let the system auto-login 3. Actual Results: The results in the original description repeated themselves Expected Results: I should have been logged in to continue installation. My system specs are as follows: Motherboard - ASUS M2N-E Chipset - nForce 570 Sli HDD - SATA2 interface, 500gb Maxtor using Nexstar-3 enclosure through eSATA, 250gb Seagate internal RAM - 1.5gb ddr2-667, bank 0,2 1gb,512mb respectively Processor - AM2 3800+ X2 Windsor Video - nVideo 7800 GT 256mb Peripherals - Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 (CAN), Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 (CAN)

Can you try 2008.0_beta 1 and see if your problem still occurs?
