I've just emerged Dia (I'd never used it before) and it's not working giving me "*** glibc detected *** dia: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x00002b1735f460d8 ***" and a huge backtrace.

flick tiago # emerge -av dia
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Post your emerge --info output, please. (And the backtrace is provided for a reason as well, attach it).

please test 0.96-r1
Comment 5 Samuli Suominen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-24 19:43:49 UTC
Can you try with pygtk-2.12.0 if you had 2.12.1 because this looks like a duplicate of bug 209531, regression.
Comment 6 Robert Buchholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-04-30 19:53:13 UTC
I ran into this issue on amd64 with dia-0.95.1, with pygtk-2.12.0. Upgrading to 0.96.1-r1 fixed it.

I wonder if we could push this version through stabilization, at least for amd64.
Comment 7 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-05-01 10:36:47 UTC
happy news :)

0.96.1-r1 should be stabilized soonish, see bug #191673
