as you know qemu doesn't build wich gcc4 and requires gcc3, as gcc3 doesn't needed for modern desktop at all

why don't add binary build (http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/qemu/download.html) for people, who don't want to have (build) gcc3 on their system for the single program

Why doesn't upstream fix this finally instead? looks like they don't give a damn frankly.

Where can you download the binaries for amd64/ppc? Looks like nowhere.
