There is a patch which adds Linux TCP congestion control implementations to ns. It would be useful to have a use flag to use that patch. So i modified the ns ebuild to include that patch. Website of the project is: http://netlab.caltech.edu/projects/ns2tcplinux/ns2linux/ Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 141695 [details, diff] Patch to add linux TCP congestion control agents to ns
Created attachment 143068 [details, diff] Improved patch to add linux TCP congestion control agents to ns I have improved the patch a bit, now it uses the extras use flag instead of tcplinux, downloading the patch is conditional, and it also displays some informative messages. Is there anything else I should do?
Paul, have you tried to contact ns upstream? What do the think about this patch?
(In reply to comment #3) > Paul, have you tried to contact ns upstream? What do the think about this > patch? According to ns changes web page[1] this patch should be included in the upcoming ns 2.33 release. [1]http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/CHANGES.html
Moving to herd since Anant left Gentoo.
ns version 2.33 is out, and it already contains this patch. So this bug is no longer needed. Just close #216615 (New version: net-analyzer/ns-2.33) please.
